New Building Planned for U-Haul Dealer in Algonquin

Feb 6, 2015

ALGONQUIN, ILL. – A revamped storage facility is planned along Algonquin Road.

Phil Murphy, the owner of U-Haul neighborhood dealer Next Door Self Storage at 1910 E. Algonquin Road, plans to demolish an existing office building and construct a new three-story building.

The 30,000-square-foot facility would be a climate-controlled storage building with an office. The building is planned to have a stone base and brick for the majority of the wall area, according to village documents.

Over time, another climate-controlled building at the rear of the property might be constructed. It would be 22,000 square feet and have the same architectural features as the 30,000-square-foot building.
