May 21, 2015

This year’s Migration Trends Report is out and at No. 7, we have the educated city, Ottawa, ON. This city is known for its high ranking schools, beautiful setting, and year-round festivals. We asked our movers to share with us their moving experience. Check out their moving stories through #UhaulFamous photos below:

“Our move was for a friend (pictured), it actually started to rain but we toughed it out and finished the job. We moved a friend of mine and we fit his entire life in the truck, he has a wife and 2 small children. I asked him what it was like to have his entire life in the truck, his only response was “surreal”.

What led us to take the picture is that we saw the ads for #uhaulfamous and thought it would be fun to take a picture in the rain. They ended up moving down the street from us, so now we are neighbours. It nice they live down the street now, our kids play and we get together for game nights every Saturday.” -Michael Deason

“A close friend of mine was moving and wanted some help moving all the big furniture such as the mattresses and bed frames as well as sofas etc. We initially doubted that it could all fit in the truck and that if it did it would be very difficult to unload. The space inside the truck was surprisingly big and we fit everything in and easily unloaded and as a sort of celebration after a long day of moving we all wanted to take a picture that would end up on the side of a truck and also make it a picture that would stand out from the rest, hence the handstand.” – Basaam Rassas

“I moved to a new house with a 26′ U-haul truck It was very easy to drive and very helpful. I moved a 3 floors house just me and my friend By the end of the day I was so exhausted. It was a good experience though.” – Ali Al-Astarbadi
