U-Haul Partners with Arizona Forward

Arizona Forward Logo

Arizona Forward is a local Arizona non-profit that has been focused on bringing economic prosperity and environmental quality to the Valley of the Sun since 1969. Arizona Forward members are a diverse group of Arizona businesses, municipalities, institutions and regional organizations which are dedicated to creating a sustainable future for the state and its communities. U-Haul Corporate Headquarters re-located to Arizona in 1966 and has called the region home ever since, making it an easy decision for U-Haul to become an Arizona Forward member in 2009. Since then, U-Haul Corporate Sustainability team members have been active participants in many key issue committees such as Transportation & Air Quality, Energy, Land Use & Open Space, Public Education, and Canalscapes. Each committee is motivated to advocate for sustainable public policy and to provide education and outreach within their topic.

Environmental Excellence Awards

Once annually, Arizona Forward hosts what has been affectionately named the “green carpet” and the “academy awards” of the local environmental community. The Environmental Excellence Awards ceremony spotlights recognizable projects which showcase a high level of commitment to the environment and Arizona’s sustainability.

U-Haul has been a proud recipient of the prestigious Crescordia Award and has received accolades four years in a row at the Environmental Excellence Awards:

2012 Environmental Excellence Awards

  • Environmental Education and Communication, Private Sector Crescordia Award

2011 Environmental Excellence Awards
