U-Haul Charity Fair and Carnival

Mar 4, 2016

The recent revival of the U-Haul Charity Fair & Carnival raised more than $15,000 for the Company’s charity partners through events at the U-Haul Technical Center in Tempe and U-Haul headquarters in Phoenix.

The 2016 Charity Fair & Carnival, held Feb. 23-24, kicked off with a donation drive for each of our Arizona charities of choice including: Andre House, Child Crisis, Habitat for Humanity, Maggie’s Place, St. Mary’s Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul. Items from clothing and hammers to food and office supplies were collected prior to the Charity Fair & Carnival based on the needs of each charity.

During the Charity Fair & Carnival, representatives from our partners were available to speak to U-Haul Team Members about their various programs and services. Team Members had a chance to visit with many of our local and national partners such as the American Red Cross and Ronald McDonald House Charities – all while raising funds through donations.

Every Team Member who donated $5 to attend the Charity Fair & Carnival was given three game tickets and used those at carnival-style games like the 3-in-1 Sports Throw. Some took their chances grabbing for a golden raffle ticket in the Cash Cube; scoring a goal in life-size Human Foosball; and dunking U-Haul management personnel in the Dunk Tank!

U-Haul is extremely proud to announce its generous donations total thanks to the hard work of so many. Congratulations and thank you to all our Team Members for their support of our local and national charities.
