U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage to Northwest Arkansas Flood Victims

May 3, 2017

U-Haul Company of Tulsa is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents of Northwest Arkansas who have been or will be impacted by flood conditions in the area.

Major weekend storms brought floodwater to the region. There has been extensive water damage to homes and the flooding has caused several fatalities.

“There are several towns that are still under evacuation,” U-Haul Company of Tulsa president Jim Smith said. “The White River continues to rise and people are speculating that we will break the previous flooding record.

“U-Haul is a strong supporter of our communities and we want to help those who are struggling. Having a safe, secure and dry place to store possessions is important in times like these,” Smith continued.

Families seeking more information about the 30 days free self-storage assistance or needing to make self-storage arrangements should contact one of the following stores:

U-Haul can store your U-Box container in our secure warehouses or pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice.

U-Haul stores offer needed supplies to help with storm recovery like boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul urges customers to ensure their tanks are topped off since propane is good to have in the event of long-term power outages.

In addition to its 30 days of free self-storage assistance, U-Haul is proud to be at the forefront of aiding communities during times of disaster as an official American Red Cross Disaster Responder.
