U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage to Flood Victims in Peoria

U-Haul Company of Central Illinois is offering 30 days of free self-storage to residents impacted by rising flood waters from the Illinois River.

Multiple roads have been closed and residential areas are in danger of taking on water. The river is expected to crest nearly 10 feet above the flood stage in Peoria.

“The flood conditions in central Illinois have created an immediate need for dry and secure self-storage,” stated Zareh Minasian, U-Haul Company of Central Illinois president. “As a caring member of this community, U-Haul is extending our disaster relief program to those in need, at no cost for one month.”

U-Haul stores offer needed supplies to help with recovery like boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. Customers are urged to top off their tanks since propane is good to have in the event of long-term power outages.
