Tornado Recovery: U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage in Abilene

U-Haul Company of West Texas is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage to Abilene residents impacted by Saturday morning’s tornado.

The EF-2 tornado tore down more than 100 structures. The winds were clocked as high as 135 mph.

“May is known to bring tornadoes and flooding to Texas, so we encourage residents to prepare for more severe weather,” said Jonathan Martindale, U-Haul Company of West Texas president. “Many families have been evacuated or came home to damaged property. Being a proud member of this community, U-Haul is eager to help our neighbors store their belongings at no cost for one month.”
