SHREVEPORT, La.—Whether you’re moving to the big city or to Skull Island, the last thing you want is a giant ape snarling in traffic! This is U-Haul Boxman’s alter ego, King Kong Boxman. He’s the creation of GM Emily Jones and her team at U-Haul Moving and Storage of Northside.
This incredible display was created inside a U-Box container, complete with lights the crew would turn on at night.
“We had several customers return at night to see King Kong Boxman’s stomping ground alive with lights,” Jones noted.
The detail in this display is amazing, down to King Kong Boxman’s fist, which is holding a U-Haul truck. Each of the planes flying around him is “piloted” by a U-Haul Team member: Jones, Customer Service Representative CSR Margaret Heirs, Area Field Manager AFM Rick Hancock and U-Haul Company of Northern Louisiana Marketing Company President Warren Iles.
“I was so proud of how good it looked that I donated one of my very first business cards to use a photo of me when I was a 21-year-old GM,” Iles emphasized. “No one had seen that photo in years, and I think it makes the display extra scary,” he chuckled.
“This project was A LOT of fun for my team!” Jones exclaimed. “My team rocked this display, showing great initiative in balancing our store’s work and play time to have fun bringing it all together. Our customers enjoyed seeing the team able to engage and have fun with a project like this, while offering nothing less than their best customer service.”
“You can see by this store’s reviews that they have fun and get the job done,” Iles added. “They take care of their customers and keep them happy!”
