U-Haul Company of Eastern New York is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to families displaced by the Cohoes fire.
The blaze, which began Thursday afternoon, spread through three blocks of downtown Cohoes and destroyed or damaged at least 20 buildings.
“We extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families,” U-Haul Company of Eastern New York president Ben Naaktgeboren said. “This was the worst fire the city has seen and, being so close to the holidays, we want to support our community in any way possible.”
