U-Haul Company of Baltimore is offering 30 days of free self-storage to residents impacted by flooding in Frederick.
Steady rains and flash floods shut down roads and also caused many homes to incur water damage.
“Some communities were seeing six inches of rain in a single hour,” U-Haul Company of Baltimore president Mike Finkelstein notes. “Frederick Mayor Michael O’Connor has issued a state of emergency as more rain is expected in the forecast.”
“There are tons of affected families and we want to offer a helping hand and provide our communities with a dry and secure place to store their possessions,” U-Haul Moving & Storage of Frederick general manager Cheryl Murphy said.
