The U-Haul Companies of Southern Louisiana, Mississippi and South Alabama are offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents affected by the heavy rains and extreme winds associated with Tropical Storm Gordon.
There are 31 U-Haul stores across four states (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida) participating in the disaster relief efforts along the central Gulf Coast.
“We encourage our neighbors to prepare for the storm by taking advantage of our free self-storage disaster relief program,” said Pat Allen, U-Haul Company of Southern Louisiana president. “We want to ensure these communities have a dry and secure place to store their belongings.”
“Mississippi and Alabama have joined Louisiana in issuing states of emergency,” U-Haul Company of South Alabama president Chad Rome stated. “We welcome people to utilize our free disaster relief program if they need a dry, secure location to stow their possessions. We’re here to help.”
