Jonathan Nipps lives by the acronym TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

“This acronym has guided me throughout my life, and I firmly believe in it,” Nipps said.

This willingness to work together and learn from others has led to Nipps being named the new marketing company president (MCP) of U-Haul Co. of North Nashville (Co. 772).

Nipps has enjoyed a successful career in Tennessee since joining U-Haul in 2012. His previous roles include: customer service representative at U-Haul Moving and Storage at Mt. Juliet; field relief manager for Co. 772, general manager of U-Haul Moving and Storage of Cool Springs; and area field manager for U-Haul Co. of South Nashville (Co. 938).

In every role, Nipps has dedicated himself to studying other’s strengths and applying them to his own work.

“The 772 team is strong and capable of accomplishing anything that they set their minds to,” Nipps said. “My role as MCP is not to continuously dictate what they can and cannot do. Instead, I want to provide them with the tools and resources they need to fulfill their roles with excellence, and then trust in the know-how that they’ve gained to help them meet any challenges they face. I have been privileged to work with several supervisors throughout my U-Haul career who have done the same for me. I owe much of my know-how to their wise and instructive leadership.”

One of those leaders has been District 20 Area District Vice President Jeff Porter.

“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Jeff for the vast majority of my career, and he has taught me innumerable lessons about giving my all to U-Haul Company and to the customers we serve,” Nipps said.

“Jonathan has always been eager to learn how to be successful,” Porter added. “His enthusiasm for learning and self-improvement has helped him to gain a keen understanding of U-Haul programs, policies and procedures over the years. Jonathan is an energetic, caring individual who strives to do well, and who isn’t afraid to go the extra mile to get the job done. Under his leadership, I foresee 722 continuing to build on the strong foundation that previous MCPs have put into place, and growing to reach more customers.”
