Executive Vice President Stuart Shoen and a team of U-Haul representatives participated in the ringing of the NASDAQ Stock Market opening bell on July 8 in Times Square.
Amerco (NASDAQ: UHAL) was extended the opening-bell invitation as part of U-Haul Company’s 70th anniversary celebration. L.S. “Sam” Shoen founded U-Haul in 1945.
Stuart Shoen was joined by management officials Jason Berg, Amerco Principal Accounting Officer, Nick Marra, U-Haul Area District Vice President, and Sebastien Reyes, U-Haul Director of External Communications.
Other U-Haul representatives included: Michael Araujo, Ian Brown, Bruce Brownfield, Amanda Dowden, Kerwin Issac, Champagne Jackson, Anthony Paladino, Hazel Sylvester and Eric Williams.
Shoen, who did the honors at the stock exchange, also made an impressive appearance on Fox Business during his trip to New York.
This was the second occasion that U-Haul had a sponsorship presence at the NASDAQ MarketSite studio in 2015. U-Haul Marketing Company President Jeff Sonberg joined the United War Veterans Council in ringing the NASDAQ closing bell on March 27 as part of a commemoration for Vietnam Veterans Day. U-Haul is ranked among the nation’s top military-friendly employers.
