Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride is coming to Phoenix. For the ninth consecutive year, Phoenix-based U-Haul International, Inc. is proud to be hosting Soldier Ride Phoenix.
Year after year, the event grows as more and more U-Haul Team Members come out and participate. This year, there are 19 U-Haul Team Members participating in the ride. These Team Members will have the honor of riding alongside our nation’s heroes.
The Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride is a rehabilitative cycling program for wounded veterans. For many of these veterans, Soldier Ride provides the first steps on the road of returning to an active lifestyle.
Members of Team U-Haul will cycle side by side with these heroes as they undertake this challenge to raise public awareness and support for wounded veterans and their families.
The two-day challenge will begin on Nov. 20. Soldier Ride will launch from U-Haul corporate headquarters in downtown Phoenix. The morning begins with breakfast with the Warriors, opening remarks from a U-Haul executive and a speaker from WWP. Team Members will have the opportunity to mingle with the Warriors, learn about the program and get a look at the cycles before beginning. Once the cyclists are given the “go,” approximately 100 Warriors, caregivers, staff and Team U-Haul will begin a 25-mile ride throughout Phoenix and Paradise Valley, ending at the Price House in Paradise Valley. The Price House hosts many U-Haul corporate events and benefits the Price House Foundation. After the long ride, cyclists enjoy a lunch and relax.
Day two kicks off on the morning of Nov. 21. Team U-Haul and the Warriors will be challenged with a 19-mile ride through the beautiful town of Cave Creek. That evening, there will be an event open to the public where attendees will be able to meet and get to know the Warriors participating in the 2015 Phoenix Soldier Ride and be offered a rare opportunity to tour and explore the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Price House.
Show your support by donating to Team U-Haul as they cycle alongside these real-life heroes to raise money for the 2015 Soldier Ride Phoenix.
Every cent of the donations collected will go to support the programs and services of the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides comfort, aid, counseling, rehabilitation and family assistance to wounded service members during their hospital recovery and readjustment to civilian life. Please help us recognize those who have given so much to our country in defense of our freedom.
Please show your support for the 2015 Team U-Haul by making a tax-free donation via debit or credit card to the cyclist you wish to support, or make your contribution in support of the entire team. All contributions made will be matched dollar for dollar by U-Haul up to $100,000.
