What’s Happening in New Center?

The Princess Bride poster

Everyone say it with me: “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!” I think even people who have never seen “The Princess Bride” (yes, there are people who haven’t seen it and don’t have every line memorized) can recite that line.

Whether you’ve seen “The Princess Bride” 100 times or zero times, this will be your last chance to see it—or any movie, for that matter—in New Center Park this summer. Tonight is the last of the FREE Wednesday Night at the Movies events that have been going on all summer.

The movie starts at 9:30 p.m., and food and beverages will be available starting at 8 p.m. Remember, you can’t bring any food or drinks into the park with you.

How many times have you seen “The Princess Bride?” What are your favorite quotes from the movie?

You haven’t seen “The Princess Bride?” INCONCEIVABLE!

Come back to the park tomorrow for Thursday Alfresco Jazz & Blues, featuring Planet D Nonet from 7:30 p.m-9:00 p.m. Opening for them will be Paul King and the Rhythm Society Orchestra at 5:00 p.m. Why not enjoy a night of great music while you have dinner in the park? Food and drinks will be available starting at 4:30 p.m.

Before you know it, it’ll be too cold to sit under the stars and watch a movie or listen to music, so get out to New Center Park now while you can!
