New U-Haul Location Comes to Louisville Community

May 8, 2015

U-Haul Company of Louisville has acquired a property, at 120 Outer Loop, located north of Interstate 265/Kentucky 841. Formerly known as Outerloop Storage, this location will expand U-Haul services to the south side of Louisville.

U-Haul Moving and Storage at Outer Loop, a former U-Haul dealership, features 10 one-story self-storage building, with one of those 10 buildings containing an 800 square foot apartment. There are currently 356 self-storage rooms and 69 RV parking spaces on the 3.34-acre property.

“We have already met most of our neighbors, who are all great and very welcoming,” stated Chris Nester, marketing company president of U-Haul Company of Louisville. “We are happy to be here and to be able to start both a personal and professional relationship with our customers and surrounding businesses.”

While there are still improvements being made to the 47,611 square feet of building space, U-Haul Moving and Storage at Outer Loop is ready to help its customers with their moving and self-storage needs. This location currently offers truck and trailer rentals along with self-storage. The expansion of the current showroom is in process, which will add moving supplies to meet the needs of the community.

“This community sees our long-term commitment to the area,” Nester continued. “Every customer I have encountered has been excited about this new U-Haul location and the future plans for this facility.”

The acquisition of Outerloop Storage was driven by U-Haul Company’s Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings reduces the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps cities reduce their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
