U-Haul Binds Efforts for Vietnam Veterans Convention

Aug 22, 2015

The Vietnam Veterans of America, a U-Haul International, Inc. charitable partner, has been helping Vietnam-era veterans and their families since 1978. It is the only national Vietnam veterans’ organization chartered by Congress and exclusively dedicated to serving Vietnam veterans.

VVA Leadership ConferenceThe VVA held its 17th national convention from July 21-25 in Springfield, Ill. This was a biennial convention, where delegates come from across the country to direct the focus of the organization for the next two years. U-Haul supported the VVA by providing the binders which contained the different topics covered throughout the convention.

The binders and printouts were created at U-Haul corporate headquarters in Phoenix. Eight hundred binders were created for the convention by the U-Haul typesetting department. Martha Sells, typesetting manager, and her team helped coordinate the project. It was a laborious project that took more than a week and the efforts of several U-Haul Team Members to accomplish.
VVA Leadership ConferenceVVA representative Mokie Porter remarked: “The Vietnam Veterans of America is grateful for U-Haul International, Inc.’s support of our organization. We need more companies like U-Haul to show their support of veteran organizations.”
U-Haul is proud to support the VVA and thanks them for all they do for our veterans!
