U-Haul Offers 30 days of Free Self-Storage to Central Florida Wildfire Victims

May 11, 2017

U-Haul Company of Orlando is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents in and around Central Florida who have been or will be impacted by the outbreak of wildfires.

There are still 125 active wildfires burning across Florida. Residents in the line of the fires have been asked to take precautions.

“This has been one of the worst wildfire seasons in years,” said Rod Baldwin, U-Haul Company of Orlando president. “Central Florida is currently experiencing some dramatic fires and residents are being displaced. U-Haul is happy to provide a safe and secure place for these folks to store their personal items.”

With U-Box containers, you can conveniently pick up our custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box with you. U-Haul also can store your U-Box container in our secure warehouses or pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice.

U-Haul stores offer needed supplies to help with recovery like boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul urges customers to ensure their tanks are topped off since propane is good to have in the event of long-term power outages.
