U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage to Gulf Coast Flood Victims

Jun 21, 2017

MOBILE, Ala. — U-Haul Company of Southern Alabama is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents in and around the Central Gulf Coast who have been or will be impacted by flooding.

The Central Gulf Coast region has taken on extensive water due to steady rains from Tropical Storm Cindy. Concerns of flooded streets and homes have created the need for secure and dry self-storage options where people can keep their possessions.

“This region is the bull’s-eye when it comes to rainfall and flooding,” said Chad Rome, U-Haul Company of Southern Alabama president. “Tropical Storm Cindy has strengthened and we have been warned about flooding, wind speeds and rip tides. As a longstanding and caring member of these communities, U-Haul is ready to help by offering families a safe place to store their belongings for 30 days at no cost.”

People seeking additional information about the 30 days free self-storage assistance or needing to make arrangements should contact the participating location nearest them:
