U-Haul Company of Southern Louisiana is offering 30 days of free self-storage to residents who have been or will be impacted by flood conditions in the region.
Major flooding is expected as Tropical Storm Cindy reaches the mainland. Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has declared a state of emergency for the entire state.
“Flash floods can cause a lot of damage in this region and we need to make sure people are prepared,” U-Haul Company of Southern Louisiana president Pat Allen said. “U-Haul supports local communities and we want to make sure our neighbors have a clean and dry place to store their items.”
