U-Haul® is extending 30 days of free U-Box® container storage at two nearby centers to support residents impacted by severe flash flooding that happened over the weekend in West Virginia.
Several inches of rainfall in a very short period of time overwhelmed waterways, flooded roads, and caused damage to residential properties in Ohio and Marion Counties. A number of fatalities occurred, and some homes were completely lost. Wheeling and Fairmont were among the cities impacted.
Access to dry and secure portable storage containers can be essential to communities during the clean-up and recovery process after natural disasters.
The 30 days free offer applies to new U-Box rentals and is based on availability. The offer is for on-site U-Box container use at U-Haul stores in Bridgeport, W.V., and Washington, Pa., the Company’s centers closest to the impacted counties.
