Harvey Disaster Relief: U-Haul Adds Free Self-Storage Offer in Louisiana

U-Haul Companies of Southern Louisiana and Northern Louisiana are offering 30 days of free self-storage to residents who stand to be impacted by Tropical Storm Harvey’s winds and rains.

Harvey is expected to dump at least four inches of rain on New Orleans, and other cities will remain under a flash-flood watch over the next two days.

“(New Orleans) Mayor Mitch Landrieu is suggesting people stay home and out of the storms,” said Patrick Allen, U-Haul Company of Southern Louisiana president. “Schools are closed and many are bracing for flooding. As a caring member of our communities, U-Haul is assisting by giving families a secure and dry place to store their belongings for 30 days at no cost.”
