Woolsey and Hill Fires: U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage in SoCal

Nov 9, 2018

U-Haul Company of Van Nuys/San Luis Obispo is making three facilities available to offer 30 days of free self-storage and also U-Box container usage to residents affected by the Woolsey Fire or Hill Fire.

Brush fires broke out Thursday and spread quickly due to strong Santa Ana winds, prompting mass evacuations and jeopardizing tens of thousands of homes in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

“People are in need of a secure place to store their belongings as they evacuate the area to escape the Woolsey Fire and Hill Fire,” stated Firoz Bari, U-Haul Company of Van Nuys/San Luis Obispo president.

“We want to help our neighbors in times of crisis. People can contact us or visit one of our participating facilities to take advantage of our disaster relief efforts. This is one way we can show compassion for our communities.”
