U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage to Flood Victims in the Carolinas

U-Haul Company of Western North Carolina is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage to residents in the Carolinas who have been impacted by flooding.

Hickory declared an official state of emergency on Sunday in response to severe storms. Surrounding areas have also faced significant infrastructure damage, flooded streets and displaced residents.

“Many areas saw intense downpours this weekend,” stated Doug Weston, U-Haul Company of Western North Carolina president. “With more rain expected this week, U-Haul is stepping forward to offer a dry and secure place for residents to store their possessions at no cost for 30 days.”
