U-Haul Earns 2019 American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement

U-Haul® International continues receive recognition as a leading health and wellness employer. The Phoenix-headquartered DIY moving and self-storage company was honored with the silver award in the 2019 American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index.

The Workplace Health Achievement Index scores organizations on the health of the workplace and health of the workforce using science-based and evidence-informed measures.

“U-Haul continues to empower Team Members to stay healthy, engaged and active,” said Monique Wantland, U-Haul Wellness Program Manager. “Through our Healthier U program, both full- and part-time Team Members have access to a range of benefits and incentives that support healthy living and a work-life balance.”

In 2019, U-Haul has also been named one of the top honorees in the large business category for The Valley’s Healthiest Employers, and received the top-level Platinum Award from the Healthiest Arizona Worksites Program.

Program Highlights

In addition to expanded features surrounding the acclaimed Healthier U program — which helps Team Members in their pursuit of better wellness through health, mindset, nutrition and fitness — the Company recently hosted its fourth annual U-Haul Active Day.

Hundreds of local Team Members arrived at Steele Indian School Park on Sept. 21 to run, walk or bike a 2.5-mile trail. U-Haul Companies throughout the U.S. and Canada also took part in local activities to get outside and exercise among colleagues.
