Kid-Sized U-Haul Trailer Donated by ADOT to PCH

Nov 6, 2019

Joe Cook, U-Haul Vice President of Government Relations, was on hand for a unique gift presentation Nov. 1 at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A new kid-sized U-Haul trailer, as well as a miniature Tesla, went to PCH to benefit kids in need of treatment.

Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division Director Eric Jorgensen recently won the vehicles. U-Haul donated the prize for a no-cost raffle at a regional meeting of motor vehicle administrators.

Jorgensen wanted to give the vehicles to a worthy cause. As a supporter of the work done by the people at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, he believed children who need medical treatment and their families would benefit from a donation like this. Cook and U-Haul embraced this idea, and stored the vehicles until the presentation.

PCH Foundation representative Christianna Millan accepted the gift on behalf of the hospital. U-Haul had originally donated the vehicles, with an estimated value of $1,000, for the raffle.
