Cumberland County Offers COVID-19 Vaccine Site at U-Haul Facility

Mar 20, 2021

Thanks to the cooperation and community support of U-Haul, and in conjunction with Quality Care Pharmacy, Cumberland County (Pa.) is operating a COVID-19 vaccine site at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Walnut Bottom Road.

U-Haul acquired the former Kmart at 1180 Walnut Bottom Road in July 2019. A section of property where self-storage has not yet been built out is being used to vaccinate residents of Carlisle and surrounding Pennsylvania communities.

U-Haul: Supporting the Community

“We are committed to supporting our communities and putting safety first,” said Kurt Hoffman, U-Haul Company of Harrisburg president. “Helping our neighbors get through this pandemic is a priority. We’re eager to help fight this virus by providing our U-Haul site to the county to serve as a vaccination hub.”

The vaccination site opened March 3, and appointments are scheduled on a weekly basis. Eligible residents can click on qcpharmacy.com to check on upcoming availability.

As many as 3,000 people are expected to be vaccinated per day.
