Dam Break: U-Haul Offers 30 Days of Storage in East Bridgewater

U-Haul® is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage to East Bridgewater residents impacted by the recent flooding.

A dam between Plymouth Street Pond and Robbins Pond broke, flooding yards, roads and some homes.

“East Bridgewater is a tight-knit community, and everyone knows someone who was affected by this flooding,” said Stoyan Kovachev, U-Haul Company of Southern Massachusetts & Cape Cod president. “Some people were even seen traveling by canoe because the town took on so much water. Many people are looking for a dry and secure place to store their items. U-Haul is here to help.”

U-Box deliveries to residents’ homes includes drop-off and pick-up of the container(s). Use of a U-Box container is free for 30 days under the current offer. The free month of storage is available to customers renting new units and is subject to vacancy at each U-Haul facility.
