Reid Beffrey Promoted to MCP of U-Haul Co. of Central Michigan

Jul 11, 2023

Michigan native Reid Beffrey has been accumulating U-Haul knowledge since 2017, when he worked at a dealership in Brighton.

“I came to learn that U-Haul is filled with extremely hard-working and honest individuals,” said Beffrey, the new U-Haul Company of Central Michigan (Co. 944) president.

Realizing how many great opportunities U-Haul affords its Team Members, Beffrey became an area field manager with U-Haul Company of South Eastern Michigan (Co. 752) in 2019. Since then, he has served as general manager of U-Haul Moving and Storage of Ann Arbor (752026), and traffic control manager of Co. 944.

Now, stepping into the role of marketing company president (MCP), Beffrey said he will have more chances to help U-Haul customers reach a better life.

“Each person who comes through the door needs our help for one reason or another,” he said. “I’m happy to help and serve them with a smile.”

Preparing for Growth

UHC of Central Michigan recently added several self-storage locations and covered spaces for U-Box containers. Beffrey views the additions as a challenge for his team to handle. As Co. 944 continues to grow, so will Beffrey’s support group.

“I am excited about every new Team Member who walks through the door,” Beffrey stated. “I see every new face as an opportunity to build relationships, share know-how and grow together.

“My past experiences with U-Haul played an important role in where I am today. I’d like to give special thanks to Co. 752 MCP Scott Baker and Co. 752 TCM Drew McLaughlin for helping to shape who I am today. As I take the reins of Co. 944, I am excited in knowing that I have a great and stable foundation to build on and many outstanding, service-oriented Team Members in Co. 944.”

Said District 7 Area District Vice President Jeff Steffani: “Reid has a great many number of strengths. Among his abilities to lead, Reid’s can-do attitude and willingness to see things through to the end result make him the perfect person for this role. I’m excited to see Co. 944 achieve the goals that they’ve set for themselves.”
