30 Days Free Storage: U-Haul Relief Offer for Flood Victims in St. Louis Metro, Branson

Jul 17, 2024

U-Haul® is providing 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage at 12 stores across the St. Louis metro area to residents impacted by flooding. Additionally, a 13th Missouri store has been made available to assist flood victims in the communities of Branson and Hollister.

Torrential rainfall caused flash flooding throughout St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson Counties on Tuesday. Many residents have experienced water damage to their homes and businesses.

Access to dry and secure self-storage units and portable storage containers is crucial for communities during the recovery process.

“The unexpected heavy rains have caused flooding across the St. Louis metro area and left many with the need to relocate belongings from their home or business to a dry and secure space,” said Mike White, U-Haul Co. of Missouri Northeast president. “U-Haul would like to help those impacted by offering one month of free self-storage or U-Box container storage at participating centers.”

The 30-day free offer applies to new self-storage and U-Box rentals and is based on availability. The U-Box offer for St. Louis metro includes a month’s free use of a storage container at a U-Haul center, or a discounted delivery and pick-up service fee of $49 for flood victims needing on-site portable storage at their homes.

People seeking more details about the U-Haul disaster relief program or needing to arrange storage services should contact the participating store nearest them:
