U-Haul® Co. of Mississippi is offering 30 days of free U-Box® portable moving and storage container use to residents in and around Lincoln and Franklin Counties impacted by the powerful tornadoes that swept through the region Wednesday evening.
The disaster relief offer includes free delivery and pickup of U-Box containers for people in need of a temporary storage solution on-site at their properties.
Severe weather moved through southern Mississippi on May 6, with a large and dangerous tornado tracking from Franklin County to Lincoln County. The twister damaged more than 200 residences, including a mobile home park in Bogue Chitto, and left multiple people injured.
Gov. Tate Reeves has activated emergency response efforts.
Access to portable storage containers is vital to the clean-up and recovery process of residents after natural disasters.
