Lawton Flood Victims Offered 30 Days Free U-Haul Self-Storage and U-Box

Jun 15, 2016

U-Haul Company of Oklahoma City is offering 30 days free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents of Lawton and surrounding areas who have been impacted by flooding from the recent storms.

Lawton received heavy rainfall of late and while the flooding was not devastating, it has affected a number of families whose homes took on water. This has created the need for storage options during a time of cleanup and recovery.

“U-Haul is a proud and longstanding member of the Lawton community, and we want to help our neighbors,” said Scott Brackin, U-Haul Company of Oklahoma City president. “Those who have been affected by flooding can use dry, safe and secure storage while they get back on their feet. We want people to know U-Haul is there for them and will continue to be in the future.”

People seeking more information about the 30 days free self-storage and U-Box assistance, or needing to make storage arrangements, should contact:

U-Haul stores have needed supplies to help with storm recovery, including boxes, tarps, propane, propane tanks and much more. U-Haul urges customers to ensure their tanks are topped off since propane is good to have in the event of long-term power outages.
