U-Haul Provides 30 Days of Free Self-Storage to Southern Indiana Residents Affected by Severe Weather

Mar 6, 2017

U-Haul Company of Louisville is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents who were affected by the severe storms that caused damage throughout Southern Indiana on Wednesday morning.

Many homes have sustained damage and a number of trees fell on I-69, closing parts of the interstate.

“These severe storms slammed Southern Indiana overnight and into Wednesday morning,” U-Haul Company of Louisville president Chris Nester said. “There were more than 1,500 people without power.

“U-Haul needs to step up in times like these to show we are a strong supporter of our communities. We are proud to offer safe and secure storage to families in need.”

Families seeking more information about the 30 days of free self-storage assistance or needing to make storage arrangements should contact:

U-Haul stores offer needed supplies to help with storm recovery like boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul urges customers to ensure their tanks are topped off since propane is good to have in the event of long-term power outages.
