A new U-Haul® retail, moving and storage facility is now serving the Rossford community at 10212 Sportsman Drive while offering the Company’s 1-Year Price Lock on all new self-storage rentals.
Rossford Mayor Neil MacKinnon III participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 28.
The grand opening marked the completion of the first 431 climate-controlled self-storage rooms available for rent at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Rossford, which has been renting trucks and trailers since December.

When the build-out is completed, there will be 1,067 storage units with heated and climate-controlled options designed to protect tenants’ belongings during Northwest Ohio’s four distinct seasons.
U-Haul of Rossford sits on nine acres next to Interstate 75 and one mile from I-90, offering easy access to residents and businesses.
“We’re pleased to provide the community with clean, dry and secure storage along with all of the reliable U-Haul moving products that people trust in one convenient location,” said Chris Arndt, U-Haul Company of NW Ohio president.
“U-Haul is excited to be in Rossford. We appreciate the city’s work, support and cooperation in making this happen.”
Arndt was joined at the grand opening by Desiree Johnson, general manager of the Rossford store, and Josh Stevens, U-Haul traffic control manager.
This is the first U-Haul-owned and -operated center in Rossford. The Company has nine stores in neighboring Toledo.
Store Details and Offerings
In addition to indoor self-storage, U-Haul of Rossford offers:
- A spacious retail showroom featuring an array of moving boxes, packing supplies, towing accessories and more.
- Three covered drive-in load/unload bays to safeguard storage customers and their belongings from the weather.
- A U-Box® container warehouse with capacity for 689 portable moving and storage containers.
- A hitch installation bay serviced by certified U-Haul hitch pros.
- Green initiatives like the Take A Box, Leave A Box® program and a Re-Use Center where donated goods in suitable condition can be shared among community members.

The Sportsman Drive location features two buildings: the 127,832-square-foot customer facility and a separate U-Box warehouse. U-Haul acquired the land in January 2023 and developed it to meet the increasing demand for storage and moving services in the Rossford area.
The store is expected to create 10 jobs when fully staffed. U-Haul will be looking to hire hitch pros, storage housekeepers and customer service representatives for this location. U-Haul always aims to hire locally to support the communities in which it does business. Veterans and military members receive preference in the hiring process.
