U-Haul Nabisco Building Detroit Anthony Jones

We’re still waiting for a date for the grand opening of U-Haul Moving and Storage of New Center Detroit, but we now know who will be running it…Detroit native Anthony Jones. Anthony grew up in Detroit, attends Wayne State University, and is currently the general manager (GM) of the U-Haul Moving & Storage at 7 Mile & Livernois Center. We’ll have more about Anthony in an upcoming post.

Model storage rooms in place

The model storage rooms in the showroom are completed and will enable customers to check out three different sized rooms, without having to leave the showroom.

The counters are in place and the over-the-counter lights will be installed this week. We’re also working on the best way to mount our menu boards behind the counter.

Fourth row on the fourth floor

The third row of storage rooms is up on the fourth floor and we will start laying out the fourth row this week. We’re also installing lights, and the overhead air handlers are being moved and installed.

Railings are up

The railings have been installed on the interior and exterior loading/unloading handicap ramps. All that’s left is to paint them. We should have some warm weather this week, so we’re also going to paint the exterior of the overhead loading door.
